We are terribly sad to report that Doctor Who actress, Kate O’Mara has died, aged 74.
O’Mara made her Doctor Who debut as The Rani in 1985 story, ‘The Mark of the Rani’ and later appeared in 1987 story ‘Time and the Rani’.
Kate O’Mara’s spokesperson confirmed that she passed away this morning (30 March) in a nursing home in Sussex, following a short-term illness.
Phil Belfield said: “She was extraordinary, she had so much energy and vitality with a love for theatre and acting. A shining star has gone out, and Kate will be dearly missed by all who knew and have worked with her.”
RIP Kate O’Mara
